Next partnered with the Reece Group's Emerging Leadership Team to up-skill them in using design thinking to solve real business problems.
We designed, facilitated and coached teams through a six-part innovation program, helping participants to develop critical and creative thinking skills, and challenging them to always start with insight.
Our approach
The program Next designed was formed around its six-step Innovation Toolkit - a series of modules that takes users on a design thinking journey, starting with insights gathering, and ending with a fully fledged and sellable solution.
Over 18 months, the we coached 60 Emerging Leaders through each module of the toolkit, with Leaders forming 15 smaller teams to each tackle a real business problem. The teams followed a schedule of intensives to balance workloads with learning, and allow time to apply learnings to real-world experience.
The result
The program culminated in teams presenting their concepts to senior leaders from across the business. Next continues to work with teams on select ideas to further experiment and grow their prototypes, helping to build business cases to bring the ideas to life.
